Building "The Barn"
A day by day photo journal of our beloved "Barn" (aka fruit stand) being built.
11/26/02 We're open! 9/23/02 Wood slabs on the wall & more finish work... 9/12/02 Dad making counter tops... 8/22/02 The barn at night... 8/15/02 Vinyl is almost complete... 8/13/02 Finishing the entrance by adding more of a ramp with a stained glass "stone" inset. Prep work for the vinyl floor began today too. Also - dug the septic drain field...AND had the downstairs STAIRS built! It was a big day for us :) 7/29/02 Drywall & taping being completed... 7/27/02 Dad selling blueberries at Manson's Farmer's Market... 7/21/02 Sheet rock is in the works.... 7/11/02 The plumbing & electrical (almost) finished...the next step was insulation... 6/30/02 Finishing the roof of the barn... 6/7/02 Building the railings on the front of the barn... Updated pictures of the inside...we got our weathervane up today :) 6/1/02 Loft stairs being built & front trellis.. 5/17/02 Painting the barn... 5/8/02 Trellis is going up & concrete by the entrance being poured... 4/25/02 More progress on the deck....and the inside 4/24/02 Building the back deck. It's huge. 4/23/02 Siding is finished... 4/19/02 Siding is going on & windows in... 4/18/02 More progress... Looking more like a barn every day... 4/16/02 Additional Coke cans @ site today. They worked on lots of "stuff". Trusses are up... 4/12/02 Trusses were delivered today... 4/11/02 Worked on rafters & loft area... 4/10/02 5th day...working on the interior walls & beams... 4/9/02 4th day of building... 4/8/02 3rd day of building. Main floor's on...and first wall's almost up... 4/6/02 2nd day of building... 4/5/02 1st day of building... 4/4/02 Chelan Building Supply delivered some of the wood today. Vic will start building in the morning... 4/3/02 Digging the domestic water line... 4/1/02 Geothermal coils buried in pit... 3/29/02 Geothermal coils laid... 3/28/02 Septic tanks placed & pit dug for the coils for "Geothermal" heating & cooling system... 3/19/02 Taking wall forms down & sealing concrete... 3/15/02 Wall forms are complete & we're pouring the walls... 3/13/02 Putting wall forms up ... 3/12/02 Pouring cement for the first of the foundation ... 3/8/02 Began digging foundation... 12/01 Our initial concept. From our brains to hot glue & foam core.
