Covering the "Geothermal" coils...
(can you say "complete waste of time and money?!")
We
put a bunch of water in the hole to settle the dirt & coils. This
will help get the "thermal" process started. That's Dad
(Roger) in the pit. He was making sure there were no large rocks
settling directly on top of the coils. Tough to tell in all that mud!
:)
It's
funny. Locals keep driving by and by the looks on their faces -- they
think we're truly insane. This technology hasn't been used in this
area before and people can't figure out what we're doing.
I think we should just put up
a sign that says "Mud Wrestling Pit" and see how long it
takes the guys to start talking about it at the morning coffee haunts.
;) (Hey - a girl has to have a hobby!)
This
giant dirt & mud bog would have been any 10 year old boy's dream.
It was SO sloppy!! :/ (Ok - maybe a 10 year old GIRL's idea of a
good time too. I would have loved it. Hey - in Europe they get big
bucks for mud spas. There's an idea...! :)
It
was cool. There was this one big rock sitting on a coil. Larry picked
it up with the bucket & thumb of the backhoe just like picking up
a single pea with chopsticks.
Cool, but Larry -- CAN you use
chopsticks?!
