Below are pictures
of the "to scale model"
we built out of foam core & a hot glue gun -- in my living room. This was
to try to to determine window & door placement...as well as
kitchen equipment & interior layout.
Of course, the final design turned out
completely different. The kitchen's entirely backwards, as well as the "bar
seating" never materialized. We ended up leaving lots of open
seating & retail space.
Wow - my office was going to be
HUGE! (Hey! What happened to my huge office?!) We put in TWO restrooms instead
of the one. Boy - aren't we ALL glad we did that?!
We were going to do the waffles
right up front behind the cash register. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Like THAT
would've worked! Dad tells people - "Yep! We got lots 'a restaurant
experience. We've eaten in lots of 'em!" That about sums it up!
Isn't it cute?! It even had a
little barn roof that fit right on top. :)
